A Poem to Our Service Men and Women
For all those who fought at Desert Storm,  this poem is dedicated to you, and all our veterans who fought and still fight to preserve freedom.
My son became a man today
with freedom colors that took him away.
To a foreign country in a desolate land;
Where the blazing sun strikes the barren sand.
A shield to those he's never met
And with his life he'll protect.
He knows the price of being free,
For he came from the land of liberty.
America, the home of the brave
Risking their lives in order to save.
Helping the needy when they call
America, giving her all.
Holding his banner to the sky
Not wanting any man to die.
My son became a soldier today,
Wearing colors that never fade.
