Read Psalm 112:1-10 and Hebrews 13:9

What Shall We Fear?

As I read these verses I was reminded how blessed I really am.
First of all my salvation through Jesus Christ has given me a
secured home in Heaven. (Romans 8:1 and John 10:28-30) So
I need not fear what happens to this earthly vessel.

Secondly, though I live in this human body with all the pains,
sicknesses and trials one faces, I can fully trust God to provide
for all my needs, because I delight greatly in His Word. My hope,
strength and endurance all come from knowing my Heavenly
Father. I shall not be afraid of evil tidings, because my heart is
fixed, trusting in the Lord.

As I look back over my life, there were many trials the Lord
brought my husband and I through. Great is His faithfulness!
This summer was very hard on us financially, yet the Lord is
gracious and merciful. He works through people in meeting needs.
A co-worker at my husband's company just gave me a car... free!
Although through human standards it may be old (1986), it runs
as good as the newer models to me. Nothing is too hard for God,
and I praise Him for providing that need.

In recalling God's faithfulness and compassion, I'm reminded, His
arms reach out to all mankind. I read the Scriptures and see just
how much it cost Him in proving His love for us...He spared not
His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. (John 3:14-18)

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for everything I have in Christ,
I am truly blessed. I know at times I get discouraged, but then I
think of heaven and what awaits me there. Thank You for your love
and compassion, your mercy and gentleness towards me. Thank
You for Jesus, for the forgiveness I have through Him. May I be a
blessing to others, and may Christ be seen in me. For I ask this in His dear name, Amen.
